I Should’ve Known Better, Sweetheart; You Were Never Any Good For Me
He said, “why don’t I just fake another line? I’m sure I can get her to believe every word I say.” And he’s right. I fell in love for a night, But I realized that it’s far too late. So, let’s just take a moment to forgive all the assholes we pretended to trust. It’s not enough that you took a taste of my body, Now, you wanna leave me feeling high and dry.
So many girls. I wonder if any of them knew, Just how easy it is to be trapped by you. I swear, I almost didn’t see you through your true colors. I almost believed everything that you said. What kind of friend does the things that you did? What kind of guy takes advantage of an already broken heart?
Maybe I’m just a fool for ever thinking that I could be good enough for you. So, here’s a line; let’s play it safe. I don’t want you know how badly you fucked me up. It’s true; I’d be lying if I said I didn’t care about you, and what you did had little, or no effect on me, But I won’t allow myself to be put in that situation again. You’ll just have to find another girl’s bed to pollute.
I can’t say that I’m not surprised. This is the story of my fucking life. Guys always know how to break me in two, But I never expected that guy to be you.
